Over the years we have learnt and rehearsed the steps and figures of many new dances. We each have a favourite one or two and usually prefer to be in a certain position of the set in which to perform the dance. Of course, there may be a couple of dances which, perhaps, are not everyone's favourite - we just have to ensure they don't clash!

Ashton One of our original dances, very rarely performed now.
Audenshaw The first ever garland dance we learnt and we still enjoy performing this dance.
Basque One of our favourite garland dances, which was added to our repertoire in 2001/2002 and we still enjoy performing.
Beau Knot Copperfield Clog first learnt this garland dance during the 2005/2006 rehearsal season and danced it out during the 2006 Rochester Sweeps Festival where it went down very well with the crowds!  This is a dance we all enjoy as it is slightly different from the rest of our repertoire.
Clitheroe One of our original stick dances for eight dancers, which we have now adapted for just six dancers.
Golborne Copperfield Clog's award-winning dance.  This dance requires eight dancers and is certainly one of our favourite stick dances and always enjoyed by the audience.  Unfortunately, we were not able to to this dance for a while due to the lack of numbers, but now our numbers are on the increase we have reintroduced 'Golborne' to our repertoire and hope to be able to start performing this dance again during the 2009 season.
Grain's Bar First performed in April 2000. Quite a long dance although we have now cut out most of the upstreets. However, it is still worthwhile getting in your refreshments and bringing out your chairs to watch!
Higham Junction A dance we choreographed ourselves and one where we made a few subtle changes in 2002.
Hindley Circle A walking dance, first performed in May 2004. We often begin with this dance as it is gentle and good as a warm up dance.  Originally performed with eight dancers but also adapted for six dancers.
Horbury Rushcart Another dance enjoyed by Copperfield Clog and premiered at the 2006 Rochester Sweeps Festival.
Horwich Polka A sling dance... We haven’t damced ‘Horwich Polka’ out for some time now, so the dance will need some attention if to be danced next year!
Lostock Junction A popular Garland dance, which we regularly dance out.
Marston This dance has 'trains', 'gypsies' and a Scottish reel. Wow!  However, we have not performed this dance for some time now.
Piper's Ash A dance with sticks and one that lends itself to processions very well. Now adapted for six dancers, but can still be performed with eight dancers.
Prescot One of the original dances Copperfield Clog learnt.  However, this dance is not performed now - it is a tad too fast for some of us...
Rose A garland dance learnt at a workshop during winter 2001, but long since forgotten!
St Helen's Gala A fast stick dance enjoyed by most of us but not danced out for a while so needs some rehearsal time…
Wigan Just hear us all (…well perhaps not all - I'm one of the quiet ones!) shout 'Hoy!' The upstreets of this dance are good for processions.  However, we have not performed this dance for some while now.
